About us
The Plymouth and South West Devon Branch of the RSPCA is a local charity headed by a group of volunteer trustees who show great devotion and dedication to animal welfare.
We work tirelessly for the wellbeing of all animals in the region, even when this means traveling beyond the boundaries of the branch in pursuit of the best possible care.
We receive no funding from the national RSPCA organisation.
In order to continue serving animals each day, the branch must raise funds from a range of sources: our charity shops, fundraising events and income from the supporting public through kind donations or legacies. The smooth-running of the branch is only made possible by our team of volunteers – the ‘life blood’ of the RSPCA in our region.
We are proud of the co-operative relationship that we have fostered with other local animal welfare organisations, which has enabled us to rescue and rehome an increasing number of rabbits and catsin the Plymouth area.
We also offer a spaying and neutering scheme to pet owners who need financial assistance.
The branch is extremely grateful to everyone who supports the branch. Information on how to help can be found here.
